I'm very lucky in living close to, and being a member of, the Droitwich Spa Model Boat Club. Facilities are excellent and it's a pleasure both to attend scheduled events, and to use the boating lake in quiet moments.
Members are a unique blend of fanatics, mavericks and geniuses who have an indecent level of enthusiasm and boundless experience. They cater for every level of enthusiast from novice to expert, and tolerate fools (like me !) gladly.
The club meets every Sunday at either Worcester County Hall or Upton Warren. There are also scheduled outings and events throughout the year, which keep us all on our toes.
Attendees manage to put the world to rights, restore insanity and generally enrich the fabric of the day - without them life would be far more boring !!
